How do I set up Store Credits Extra?

Once you have installed the Store Credits Extra app, there is just one thing to do:

Configure store credit top-up product

In order to allow your customers to purchase store credit, you must set up a product in Shopify and assign this as your store credit top-up product. Whenever a customer purchases this product, the price of the variant of the product is applied to the customer's store credit balance.

So first, you must set up your product in Shopify. We recommend something like this with variants representing the different denominations your customers can purchase:

You will then have a normal product in your Shopify store which you can link to wherever you see fit. It will look something like this:

All that is left to do is to assign this product to the app. Back in Store Credits Extra, go to the configuration page and click "select product":

Next, select the product and click "Select". You can only select one:

When you're done, just click save. 

And that's it, you're all set! Now, anytime someone purchases this product, their store credits will automatically be toped up.

IMPORTANT: the standard price of the product will always be used as the value of the store credit. Therefore, if the customer has used a discount at any point in the purchasing journey, the customer will still receive the full value of the product in credit. If you do not wish for customers to be able to purchase credits at a discount then it is your responsibility to ensure that discounts cannot be applied to your store credit top-up product.
